Recent ESG Research Suggests Need for Access Control Transformation

A recent ESG survey report found that enterprise IT transformations (digitalization, cloud, etc) are putting increased pressures on security and these pressures are driving interest in new access control technologies.  You can read the report here.

Top security objectives identified by the findings:

1) Preventing server compromise;

 2) Improving security controls and oversight for identity and access management; and
 3) Improving security controls and oversight for endpoints.

 The most helpful security controls, according to the 125 enterprise security pros surveyed include: establishing a zero trust network; followed by making access decisions based upon policies that consider users, devices, network, location, etc.
